The model village in India is Perumalthevanpatti in TN
Every house in this village boasts of an armyman - ToI
It is wonderful, indeed, to hear that there exists such a village. I’m even more joyed to find that this is a place in the southern part of India, because, as the report states in the beginning lines and the hindi movies will invariably tell you, is that the typical armyman is a Jat or Rajput (Of course, a military jawan from any part of India has my complete and heartfelt respects, I just think that representation from the South have been undermined)
For, most youths in the village dream of entering the Indian army as jawans and working their way up the ranks. Every family in this village has at least one son in the army, and young girls only wish to marry men from the armed forces.
I’ve deliberately highlighted the last part to show the role that men and women play in shaping the destiny of a nation. If the men of a village or town idolizes some bollywood style khan and women chase men like them, then all we will have is a society full of bollywood style khans. Its simply a case of supply and demand and it works both ways.
Young girls too regard men serving in the armed forces as the most eligible for marriage. “That is the only condition we lay down before marriage,” says 22-year-old Lakshmi Meenal. Kavitha (32) who married R Balaji three months ago is awaiting his return from the J&K border.
Given the government’s apathy towards the jawans and the fast depleting ranks of officers, the existence of a village like this is outstanding. Even more surprising to me is that the ToIlet paper thought it newsworthy

Pink-Chaddiwalas missing while Hindu girls vanish in Kerala
Believe me or not - they did not vaporize all of a sudde!
Islamists on conversion campaign - Daily Pioneer
I heard of an ongoing investigation in Maharastra on the concerted efforts by poor, ‘ol and misunderstood guys to convert Hindu girls. I guess, the past Lok sabha and the impending Vidhan sabha elections have put everything in hold. And, the Shabanas have the guts to complain of discrimination in housing sector. Even though some 4000 Hindu girls have been “missing”, the ELM is quite mum about the whole episode - I bet they are all busy to find out if some Muslim girls have been married to Hindu boys so that the whole event can be easily reconciled — just like balancing “Hindu” terror with Islaimic terror and so on ….
Ganesh Chaturthi in Malayasia
I’m kind of surprised that the Malays are still letting Hindus practise religion in their country …
Ganesha Chaturthi procession sets record in Malayasia
Its truly inspiring for us Hindus in India to see how a small Hindu community in an otherwise Islamic country has been non-relenting in its fight for freedom to practise Hinduism. Unlike in India where the politicians genuflect at the drop of a hat to fulfil the wishes of the 20% minority, in Malayasia the Hindus are mostly alone in their fight. So, its great to see them prosper …
Chinese plans to split India … and its working!
Split India, says China think-tank - TOI
There are rare moments when I agree with what the ELM has to say, and this is one of those moments. Clearly the Chinese strategic designs to weaken India is working, thanks to Nehru-II as the PM. India may have a foreign minister, but hardly a foreign policy to speak of. Nepal is safely into Chinese territory while Bhutan is slowing inching into the lion’s den. Hardly anyone in Bangladesh remembers India’s contribution to their Independence. But our real problem lies well within our boundaries, as the policy paper has pointed out -
To split India, China can bring into its fold countries like Pakistan, Nepal and Bhutan, support Ulfa in attaining its goal for Assam’s independence, back aspirations of Indian nationalities like Tamils and Nagas, encourage Bangladesh to give a push to the independence of West Bengal and lastly recover the 90,000 sq km territory in southern Tibet … … China in its own interest and the progress of whole Asia, should join forces with different nationalities like Assamese, Tamils, and Kashmiris and support the latter in establishing independent nation-states of their own, out of India,” the article said
and, here’s the cream of the news report …
… an MEA spoksperson said the article “appears to be an expression of individual opinion and does not accord with the officially stated position of China on India-China relations conveyed to us on several occasions, including at the highest level, most recently by state councillor Dai Bingguo during his visit to India last week”
Hmm …. what exactly did Nehru-I say during the Panchsheel agreements? Recently the IAF chief Air Chief Marshal Fali Homi Major said China was a greater threat to India than Pakistan as little was known about the communist nation’s combat capabilities. No doubt, China is our enemy number one, as Vajpayee & co. had initiated during Pokhran II. But, I think with a leader like Manmohan Singh, who needs an enemy?
PS - I’m not the first one to use the terms Nehru-I and Nehru-II, even though one cannot miss the striking similarities between India under them (~’47-’65 and 2004-?)

Hindus funding missionary work abroad!
Canary Islands Hindus Donates Food To the Poor — At a Church’s Doorsteps
More than half a hundred members of the Hindu community of Gran Canaria Teror approached to thank the Patroness of the Diocese of the Canary Islanders and “the great welcome they have given us for so many years”, said yesterday its coordinator , Manish Purswaney … …
No wonder why, even with enormous wealth in our temples, we are completely sold out to the missionaries. On one hand, the government loots the temple wealth in the name of “temple maintenance” while it subsidizes Islamic Haj to Saudi Arabia. Where does this money for the “religious up-keeping” of the 20% minority (if you consider Assam and entire Kashmir as part of India) come from? Our temples? And what exactly the kaffirs get in return for sponsoring these trips? More jihadis brainwashed to kill more kaffirs … I sometimes get the feeling that Aurangazeb is still in power …
Although, I must say, the Church acts very differently … with the money, the Church sets up more Churches to convert more Hindus while the Hindus are happy with obliging to their demands or often-times, sponsoring their activities directly (say, the goverment funding missionary schools with tax payer’s money) … This is so typical Hindoooooooooo (eyes rolling in circles …. to use a phrase used by Rajeev). It is then, hardly surprising, that the Church funds equal Indian Navy’s annual budget as commented by Sandeep in one of his posts.
The thousand pounds will be divided between Caritas Diocesan Canary, San Juan de Dios, Cruz Blanca, the Nursing Home, Social Work, College of Nuestra Señora del Carmen de Santa Catalina. With each new year offering the Hindu community contributes over a thousand kilos of food for the poor.
Could these HIndus have contributed the money to the local temple for distribution to the poor? Heck, I’d be surprised if there exists one! I just wonder what these guys are doing for the poor back in the country of birth … I bet nothing, or close to that. We have to give one thing to the Mohemmadans and the Christians - they really stand up for their co-religionists, whereas the Hindoo doesn’t care $hit for their Dharmic brothers and sisters … we are happy as long as the white man praises us to the hilt, for whatever reason that may be. We always hold our performance set up by the foreigners … we are, after all, the white man’s burdern.

Amazing 13 yr old girl
13 yr old Hindu girl speaks out against Anti-India forces
Wow! I’ve been rendered spellbound by her fiery poetry as well as her oratory. I wish people, five times her age had half her skill and the Hindutva movement would have been at a different place in our history. At her age, when most girls (and boys) spend time watching Bollywood movies and putting posters of king Khan, she has the acumen to see through their guise. Each line she speaks is a gem. I hope more men, more importantly women like her, come to the Hindu, nationalist movement.
Interestingly, VHP has done a nice job in the service of the country, irrespective of what the ELM might want you to know. This video is a part of the collection of other good ones that highlight some of the achievements of the VHP. Please see them and distribute them to others as well (YES, including the sekoolar ones!)
Witzel on Rg Veda - caught on the wrong foot … err, no foot, in a conference
Michael Witzel: rattled rat at IIC
Gosh! This is hilarious … who the heck appointed him as a Prof. at Harvard? For the kind of silly mistakes he made, it seems one’s caught in the open with his shorts down. I have thoroughly enjoyed every line of this article by a Marxist scholar ! I won’t take out much of the entertainment by taking away much, so here are some highlights (but I recommend reading it in its entirety)
… mercilessly, playing the cat and the rat game – the cat looking ascetically resigned tossing the rat, the rat pretending to be dead, breathlessly looking from the corner of his eye to judge the cat’s next move, running for his life, only to be pounced upon and tossed up again
Prof. Witzel was in a state of trauma: nervous, edgy, twitching his lips, dropping his eyelids recurrently, looking askance to avoid his interlocutor, constantly using his hanky to rub his nose, murmuring something inaudible to explain his errors, occasionally seeking help from his votaries who were present in good number, but more ignorant than their demi-god, and hence themselves dazed.
It turns out that he has written extensively on the Rg Veda, and as suggested by Dr. Bhagwan Singh, without knowing much about the Vedas. Just look at his publication list on the Vedas here. It is increasingly turning out that this guy is just another Indologist, a very famous one, a scholar of sanskrit, just like the Max Mueller, without being even familiar with it (just read the paragraph where Dr. Singh states that he may not even be familiar with Book IV, on which he’s made commentaries). He’s so pathetic that even after being disproved by scientific evidence, he’s still holding to his Aryan fantasy. Even our Romila Thapar has ditched his gobbledygook long back. He’s either incredibly stupid (possible, not likely) or he’s being paid a ton of cash to keep gurgling the same cr@p till he goes to his grave.

Terrorists are not Muslims, says Saif Ali Khan
It is increasingly seeming that no matter how liberal [sic] the upbringing is, the moderate Muslim frequently runs the risk of supporting jihadis one way or another. Here’s the latest “moderate Muslim” saying Mohammed Atta to Ajmal Kasab and their friends were not Muslims.
I don’t think any terrorist is a Muslim: Saif Ali Khan
The Mumbai terror attacks in Mumbai has not affected the way he looks at his character in the film. “I don’t think 26/11 or earlier 9/11 are Islamic acts. No matter what people say, I don’t think any terrorist is a Muslim. Let’s make that distinction very clear. Of course, the population of Afghanistan may disagree with me. But I condemn 26/11 as a deed done by non-Muslims.”
Ok - so here’s a guy who claims to be brought up away from religious dogma claims that Ajmal Kasab et. al. who spend years on the Koran in the madrassa, are not really Muslims! But, ask him and he’ll tell you that he is indeed a true believer … err, Muslim. I’m hardly surprised by the presence of covert and overt jihadis in the Bollywood (remember Sonu’s outburst against Javed Jaffrey for the later’s implicit support to the terrorists? ). So, after “acting” in the movie jehad, Saif Ali Khan realizes the greatness of Islam. What great place to learn about a religion - while working on a movie, J-E-H-A-D. And no points for guessing what he finds out -
My character in Rensil’s film has become the way he has because of the way Americans have treated Afghanistan and other Islamic states
So, all blame goes to America - but what about 9/11 before that? Well, its not an Islamic act! Heck, I’m surprised that Saif is already not in AfPak fighting US forces. There’s really not much I can say except that there are quite a few Pakistanis (Muslims) that are less prone to jihad than those in our “liberal” bollywood. Why? Because they accept candidly, that terrorists are in fact, Muslims - “these terrorists and militants consider themselves to be far truer Muslims than those who oppose them”.

Paying the Hans by their coins
Some of my readers have asked me for my views on the Han oppression of the poor, ‘ol and misunderstood guys in Xinjiang. Honestly, I don’t have any good answer to that except I’m inclined to say that the Chinese actions are legitimate in self defense of the territorial unity of China. I also wonder, in this fight between the red terrorists and green terrorists, who are our Marxists going to support? Below is a counterview, which I fully agree with, which essentially states that the Chinese have been largely responsible for providing moral support to Pak, who have passed it on to jihadis in Kashmir; it would only be fair if we return the favor to those in Beijing.
Xinjiang unrest - update by B. Raman in CCCS
Here are some key features that we need to learn from the Hans in dealing with the jihadis: -
Demographics matter. If you can’t out-breed them, try out-populating them by resettlement.
Saudi is the epicentre of terror flow - restrict travel to the terror capital.
Jihadis only understand force - make proper use of what you’ve got.
Of course the media and human right activists will cry out loud - make sure you have a middle finger, and display it liberally.
Sometimes, the liberals and the Islamic fundamentalists are the two sides of the same coin. Al-Taqiya may have been invented by the Islamists, they are in full use by the liberals as well.
And, here’s the punch line from the policy paper -
Like the US, China has for many years been a following a policy of double standards with regard to jihadi terrorism– condemning that which is directed at China and maintaining a silence over Pakistan-sponsored jihadi terrorism which is directed at India. There is no reason why we should fight shy of paying them back in their own coin. I also wonder, in this fight between the red terrorists and green terrorists, who are our Marxists going to support?

Clearly the Hans know how to deal with the poor, ‘ol and misunderstood guys
Hans beat the heck out of the Uighur “innocent” jihadis - TOI
In the entire report you see words like wounded, on the verge of death, etc without actually hyperboling on the actual numbers, although at the very last line it mentions “137 Hans, 46 Uygurs and a Hui died in the violence “. This is u;nlike anything any of their reports on Gujarat episode where all you can hear are the numbers of Muslims dead and that to at 2000; only God knows where exactly they churn out numbers like that. No one would know how many Hindus died in Gujarat, but clearly when it comes to the Hans, the report mentions the Hans dead first and then the Uighurs. Of course, there is just no mention of words like pogrom, holocaust, mass murder, genocide …. Surely, we need to learn a thing or two from the Hans, especially when dealing with media.
Thats what you call a baby factory!
One man with three wives = 21 children == 65+ grandchildren
Barkatulla Sheikh from Upardiha village of Behrampore block in Murshidabad is the proud father of 21 children from his three wives and now has 65 grandchildren to play with…. Also, the three women live in harmony with each other and the family members have little to complain of. Sheikh’s eldest son, Mr Abdul Basir is now aged 50 while the youngest one is an eight year-old kid, Shoriful, a student of standard II. Fifteen of his 21 living children are married and have brought forth a succeeding generation of at least 70 individuals including a few great-grandchildren. The rest of his sons and daughters, are waiting for their turn to marry and further the line, which could see the family expanding to a unit of a staggering 100 members in a few years.
Clearly women in Islam suffer from Stockholm syndrome. They are invariably happy and “live in harmony” with their husbands … err, masters. But, the punch line comes later …
He (Seikh) explained that he had full faith in his Allah and his children. Injustice to women is what pains him the most. “Girls being married off with dowry is a sin in Islam,” Sheikh said, holding the current-day Maulavis responsible for the evil custom. A local CPI-M gram panchayat member, Mr Ainul Haq was all praise for Sheikh. “Barkatulla is a devout Muslim.”
No wonder the Islamists are perpetually opposed to anything close to family planning; the word doesn’t exist in their lexicon.

Hindus killed by Muslims in Bengal, media spins out the story as “clash”
Here’s the media spin - Telegraph
Two villagers were killed in police firing while another was hacked to death during a clash between two groups of people in the Naoda area of Murshidabad this afternoon. At Trimohini village, about 220km from Calcutta, five shops were looted and set on fire by the mobs. A police officer said seven cops, including a deputy superintendent, were injured by stones hurled at them. Home secretary Ardhendu Sen said some outsiders had entered a high school at Jhaubona village and attacked students. The incident snowballed into a clash at the bazaar in neighbouring Trimohini. “The police tried to disperse the warring groups. But when they failed to do so, they opened fire in which two villagers were killed,” Sen said. “The situation is under control and the district magistrate has been asked to hold a peace meeting in the village tomorrow.”
Can you tell anything, really anything, from this news report? Any names of the people in the “two groups of people” or the “mobs“? Or, names of people who were referred to as “some outsiders“? Or, the religion of these people? Not, if they are some “poor, ‘ol, misunderstood guys. And, here’s what really happened - courtesy, Hindu Samhati. Just imagine the ELM news report, how it would be written, if the opposite had happened in say, Gujarat. And it would be instantly promoted as a genocide by the national news media. Not surprisingly, almost all Hindus in this area voted for the kangress party, electing its FM Pranab Mukherjee, and now they are left high and dry. As usual, such riots where Hindus are killed will be proceeded by a “peace meeting” which means the surviving Hindus of the area would be lectured on the importance of peace and harmony by either converting or leaving the area. Or words to that effect.

Did Kandhamal play any role in BJP’s rout in Orissa?
Kandhamal “accused” gets bail after becoming an MLA
That the BJP lost Lok sabha seat in Kandhamal itself, became a beating stick by the leftists, centrists, so-called rightists, ELM and practically anyone interested in blaming Hindutva for BJP’s electoral rout. Then how, pray, did a “riot-accused” win elections? BJP just won 6 seats in 147 member Orissa assembly and Pradhan is one of them. How did a he win? And, more importantly, why didn’t the others win if BJP were to lose election for Kandhamal? If Kandhamal was the reason for BJP’s loss then surely a riot accused wouldn’t win and others would. How cunningly the media turned the entire attention from the murder of the Swami to accusing BJP for the riots. Unfortunately everytime BJP loses election, its because of Hindutva and everytime it wins elections, its because of development. If developmental politics is that important, then how did Naveen, with hardly anything to show in 10 yrs, win anohter election in Orissa? They just want to have it both ways, don’t they?
A sekoolar govt. at work: No police verification for Haj passports
Haj pilgrims’ passports won’t require police verification
A sure way to legitimize illegal Bangladeshis (and other willing jihadis from practically anywhere in the world). We saw what UPA could do in 5 yrs, just extrapolate this to 5 more years and you can get a feeling of whats about to come.
“The police verification for Haj pilgrims has been waived off. The decision was taken keeping in mind the difficulties in issuance of passports to pilgrims in a short span of two months,” said Mohd Owais, the Chief Executive Officer of Haj Committee of India, in the national capital.
Become vegetarian and avoid cancers
The contents of this report is hardly new and I’ve the previously highlighted that modern science is unequivocally proving the positive effects of vegitarianism and the health risks posed by eating meat (irrespective of what the holy books may babble about the bliss of kurbani). I just think this report makes a comprehansive case with particular focus on cancer
Vegetarians avoid more cancers
The study involving 60,000 people found those who followed a vegetarian diet developed notably fewer cancers of the blood, bladder and stomach. Researchers … followed 61,566 British men and women. The researchers said they found marked differences between meat-eaters and vegetarians in the propensity to cancers of the lymph and the blood, with vegetarians just over half as likely to develop these forms of the disease. In the case of multiple myeloma, a relatively rare cancer of the bone marrow, vegetarians were 75% less likely to develop the disease than meat-eaters.
I grew up with the myth that cancer is equally prevalent across the world - even doctors told me that people in US had an apparently higher rate of this diseases meant that they were affluent enough to go for the treatment. Even though there may be some truth in it, I’d always believed that diet played a special role. Unfortunately, with the growing consumption of meat in India, it seems that we are losing that edge. Call it the curse of civilization or development.
I was indeed surprised that the meat lobby is letting “this kind of research” publish! Like Coke/Pepsi is always up-in-arms fighting Swami Ramdev for not recommending their toxic drinks. Indeed the report ends with a caveat as usual,
“However, this finding should be treated with caution since not much is known about the link between diet and these types of cancer. Further studies of vegetarians are needed before we can be confident this is actually the case.”
As long as animal farming is not legally banned, the meat industry will always make enough profit to make sure that “further studies are needed” to conclusively prove that they are dangerous to the society.

Michael Jackson died as a Muslim?
I was certainly not aware of this …
Michael Jackson converts to Islam and changes name to Mikaeel
Although it could be true, the language of the report seems less certain. Very much like our own ELM, more interested in creating news than reporting it.
Michael Jackson has reportedly become a Muslim and changed his name to Mikaeel … He is said to have sat on the floor and worn a small hat while an imam officiated … A source said Jackson had appeared a “bit down” and added: “They began talking to him about their beliefs, .. … “. “When I came back from Mecca I got him a lot of books and he asked me lots of things about my religion and I told him that it’s peaceful and beautiful,” said Friday. …”I think it is most probable that Michael will convert to Islam.
Or, could it be the reason behind the “amicable settlement of a lawsuit” between the poptar and a Bahraini Seikh. Given that money plays such an important role in so many conversions worldwide, nothing would be surprising!
Pat Condell on Burkha - awesome as usual
Ban the burkha - Pat Condell
As usual Pat Condell is at his best …
Some of the best parts of his monologue are
… various reasons to ban this dangerous outfits … (iit) offend the Islamists, which is always a good idea. If a small group of hysterical, bearded, fanatics are squealing about Islamophobia, well then you know that somebody is doing something right
![]()
… I also find it baffling as to why the western feminist voice, usually so assertive and confident, is so muted when it comes to women in Islam … I would like to hear (why?) because the silence so far from feminists is deafening and shameful …
… any western woman who makes allowances for or accommodates the misogyny of Islam is a traitor to her daughters …
… I wouldn’t want to ban the burkha for absolutely everyone … in fact, it should be made compulsory for all Islamist men, especially during the hot weather …
Well, the above bolded lines reminds me deeply of the pink-chaddiwalas in our own India, who are obviously no where to be found. Ditto for Shabana, Teesta and their cabal of liberal-progressives. As I’ve always believed - if there is something that a liberal, progressive is scared of … and I mean, S**T scared, like one’s-life-depending-on-it scared … then it is brute force of Islamists and jihadis. They are very good in debating Hindu fundamentalists (and some Christian extremists in US/EU) but when confronted with an Islamist, their pants/panties just becomes yellow! If asked to bend, the liberals starts to crawl … literally … that, and that alone defines who’s a liberal and who’s not.

Veils were first used by prostitues?
By veil, I certainly include the hijab, burqa, nikab and so on …
While reading an “as-always” superb post on Sandeepweb, I came across this very interesting piece of observation on another blog, Bengal under attack, where the author suggests that veils were originally meant for the prostitutes (and mentions how cunningly Kemal Ataturk of Turkey de-veiled Turkish women by stating that as a fact!). Then, as usual, I passed it as a casual reference in yet-another-Hindutva-blog, as my friends usually refer to blogs like ours. That is, till I found this piece of article from 2006 -
Female academic claims Muslim veils originally worn by prostitutes
And, she’s been acquitted by the secular court of Turkey, for not insulting Islam, which by itself is no mean achievement. Getting such a judgment from any secular court anywhere in the world, certainly makes one (at least me) believe that her studies must be back by rock-solid evidence; if you want to destroy the Ram Sethu, that’s another story. Anyway, what’s interesting is this -
Cig, who has translated 3,000 stone tablets and published her findings last year, had faced up to three years in jail if convicted of all charges … … The Sumerians were among the first settled societies considered a civilisation, ruling southern Mesopotamia, in what is now Iraq, from 3000 to 2000 BC. In her book ‘My Reactions as a Citizen’ Cig said headscarves were worn by women who worked as prostitutes in temples during the Sumerian period to differentiate them from women who worked primarily as priests. Females often presided over the temples in the polytheistic society, Cig said.
No wonder that Turkey is the only which is constitutionally secular while having a majority Islamic population. From personal experience, I’ve found Turkish people, especially their women folks, as very moderate, certainly by Islamic standards. I could also add that fewer Turkish women would wear the jihab than even Indian Muslim women. However, given the recent victory of rightwing Islamic parties in Turkey and the constant opposition by Greece, Germany against the inclusion of Turkey in EU, all that was achieved by Kemal Mustafa could simply vanish into the thin air. After all, its only a Muslim country.

Waffle at BJP National Executive meeting - by Kanchan Gupta
He’s probably the only one left in the mainstream media who’s associated with the BJP and yet to join the abandon-Hindu(tva)-bandwagon. Yet! And, he has successfully resisted the temptation to seek the easy way out, i.e. blaming Modi, Varun, or pretty much anyone left in BJP to work for the right cause, for the electoral defeat. Plus, he’s one of the few handful of Bengalis remaining who are worthy of respect, because almost without exception, a Bengali intellectual today stinks! So, I’m slowly becoming his fan.
Waffle at BJP National Executive meeting - Kanchan Gupta
My own view is that Muslims will never vote (or vote substantially) for the BJP. The Bharatiya Jana Sangh was shunned by the Muslims as a ‘Hindu’ party (Varun Gandhi wasn’t born then); the BJP was and continues to be shunned as a ‘Hindu party’. The BJP can stand on its head and do a double somersault and a twist-and-turn. There will be applause but no votes. So, let those in the BJP who keep on plugging the secular/Muslim line not waste their breath. Muslims will either consolidate behind the Congress (if the party is seen to be able to practice aggressive appeasement, eg, communal job and education quotas) or they will vote tactically to defeat the BJP. Muslims are believed to be the decisive factor in 54 Lok Sabha constituencies; by 2014, this number will further increase. The mullah and the masjid will ensure the breach is never bridged, not even if Vande Mataram is replaced with qawaali.
I don’t remember the last time I agreed so much with another journalist.

A glimpse of our future after decades of jihad-pandering: Lessons from London
There are a lot of lessons to be learnt from the current crisis Londoners are facing, resulting from their decades of jihad-pandering in the name of liberalism, secularism and so on.
London’s no go zones - NYSun
During the 1990s I used to walk through the churchyard on my way to and from work at the Times in Rupert Murdoch’s vast Wapping headquarters. In those days I was alert to the fact that this district — once largely Jewish, and the scene of riots between Leftists and Fascists in 1936 — is now overwhelmingly Bangladeshi.
Sounds awfully like the situation in the situation in parts of Kolkata? Don’t be scared - just read on because the similarities don’t end here. I remember when I was growing up, my parents (complete sekoolar people) used to remind me not to wander into places like Rajabazar or Park circus. When I asked why, I always got the politically correct response - it is just not safe. I bet there are places like this in other cities as well (I know about Ranchi and Delhi) where, forget women, even men are advised not to go alone.
these young Islamists are determined to create “facts on the ground” by establishing areas where only Muslims of their own stripe can live. That is what the Anglican Bishop Nazir-Ali of Rochester meant when he spoke of “no-go areas” in many British cities where non-Muslims no longer felt safe … Not one spoke up in his defense — least of all the archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, the foremost advocate of Shariah law … … This week, however, disturbing evidence to support Bishop Nazir-Ali came to light. It has emerged that on March 5 the Anglican parish priest of St. George’s, Canon Michael Ainsworth, was horribly assaulted in his own churchyard by two Muslims. Asked politely by the 57-year-old priest to turn down their music, the two young men unleashed an unprovoked assault, while taunting him about his religion.
Doesn’t this sound like the case of Swami Punyalokananda Maharaj of Ramakrishna Mission Ashram who was assaulted by Islamists from the CPI(M) party? And what does the sekoolar establishment, including ELM, do when priests from the majority community are assaulted - just dismiss it as a law ‘n order problem (unlike when someone from minority community is attacked - then its a communal problem)
Even more disturbing is that the authorities are not treating these attacks as motivated by jihadi ideology. “The police and prosecutors will classify an attack on a mosque or Muslim as a hate crime but not if it is a church or a vicar.” … Allan Ramanoop, described the jihadi mentality that is now ubiquitous in Britain’s inner cities: “I’ve been physically threatened and verbally abused on the steps of the church. On one occasion, the youths shouted: ‘This should not be a church, this should be a mosque, you should not be here.’”
Hmmm ….. doesn’t the last line sound to be from a Mughal era? or the Sultanate times? No matter how politically correct times we live in, some thing will never change.
